Resume

Introducing the Society's Chairman - Dr Colin Clelland

Consultant in Cellular Pathology specialising in Gynaecological and Cardiopulmonary Pathology at the
John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford
*
"At a time when training budgets are severely challenged, departments are implementing liquid-based cytology and getting to grips with new guidelines for cancer audit, there is little time to think about your local Cytology Society. However, it is easy to tap into the resources that the Society offers with an increasing amount of educational material on the website and plans for 2 scientific meetings at Oxford and London in 2007. Varied programmes including hot topics and workshops will be the focus for Society meetings this year. We will ensure that there is something for everyone. Equally important is the need for each of us to meet other cytologists and exchange experiences and ideas as this is one of the keys to the continued success of laboratory Cytology in the UK. Please log on to 'www.tvcs.uk.net' and come and meet your colleagues and friends at your next TVCS meeting"

We are always looking for members who are willing to join the Thames Valley Cytology Society committee. Any committee member will be able to tell you what is entailed Isee links and contacts). Please download and print off a nomination form and ask one of your colleagues to second you.

Subscriptions 2008 - 2009

A list of those labs who have paid their subs for 2008/09 has been circulated to link members.
